Central America and Caribbean
We'd like to go somewhere in Central America/Caribbean around Christmas and New Year, but do not want to just stay in a large all-inclusive resort. We'd like something more authentic and preferably a place where we can go snorkeling, kayaking, etc.
Is there any place that you can recommend?
(originally we really wanted to go to Chile, but the tix are really expensive. i know that at this time of the year they'd probably be expensive anywhere, but i'm hoping for the best :)
