volunteering in kenya
so i'm pretty sure i want to register for this workcamp through volunteers for peace. it's in kenya in december, working in a medical clinic. i've never been to an underdeveloped country before, but i've had a desire to travel to africa for a long time. i also have experience with children, and in the medical field.
does anyone who's been there have any suggestions or advice? oh, i've also used vfp once before, but the project was in germany, and so much more organized than one would be in africa (as per the website's "africa conditions" info page). i could also share my previous experience, if anyone's interested (in short: best three weeks of my life :).
