Potential slayers bloody dying left and right to me is nearly as sodding bad as Buffy dying. Since I came back from the caves, I fought first for Buffy not to know that I had my soul...well that was bloody second to me having to deal with some demons...so to speak ( Read more... )

Leveled the blind wonder so hard that before I broke his neck, was sure that I had cracked his skull. His friend, the playmate holding Amanda down was still struggling to get up from my takin’ out of his right knee and then my bloody dirty, but justified kick to his sack.

Wasn’t about to let him get up, especially when my keen vampire senses were pickin’ up the sound of Amanda garglin’ near me, which I knew meant that her injury was goin’ to be fatal if I didn’t pick her up and sprint with her to the hospital.

Wastin’ no time, I killed the second harbinger without the bloody gusto that I wanted to. Simply snapped his neck, watched him fall and then turned towards Amanda, who now had Xander standin’ over her, tryin’ to help, but of course, little could be done. Without getting’ up close, I could smell the amount of blood that she had lost and I knew that time had no become a razor in our eyes; that it was not on our side.

I rushed to her and bent down to pick her up, Xander’s eyes meetin’ mine and both of us looked like we had failed another girl. Of course, she had run away, worried that we were the ones attractin’ the blind idiots and the Turrekan to them, when in actuality, which they knew by the by, they were being hunted by The First, who knew all. Runnin’ had been her worst mistake, but still, there was precious little to be gained by arguin’ about this bloody internally right now.

Started to pick her up, which Xander wanted to do as well, but he also knew that he needed weapons more then me. Started to pick her up, but with Xander blockin’ the eyeline behind him, I didn’;t see but heard the bloody unmistakable growl of Mr. Psycho vamp himself. When he tossed Xander through the air like a sodding pillow and as I watched him land a good twenty feet away, Amanada died in my arms, sayin’ my name, garglin’ and then expiring.

I let her down softly, knowin’ that a whole spot of torture was bloody on the way; and I might feel some too.

I couldn't believe we were too late. We were always too late. And now some one else was dead, just like Anya was.

I was just about to pick her up when Spike, the helpful vampire that he was, grabbed her from me. I stood my ground, making eye contact with him, trying to let him know with my eyes, that we had failed yet again. And that's what we were- failures. Why couldn't we do something right for a change? We couldn't even protect them.

I stood my ground with Spike, I was beginning to get annoyed with him, and aside from all the usual stuff, I didn't really know why. Maybe I needed someone to blame, and he was the closets thing, after all, his cousins were the ones that were doing most of the killings around the city, it was easy to put him in that category with them. It would only be a matter of time before he showed his true colors anyway, but for now he was just playing nice to get in Buffy's good graces.

I wasn't afraid of him, and I wasn't gonna be intimidated by someone like him either. Yeah, he kicked major ass back there and I was grateful for once, that still didn't mean that I trusted him.

I was about to give him a piece of my mind when I started flying in the air like a ragged doll. At first I thought it was Spike that had some how done it, but then I realized that it was one Spike's cousins, from the nastier side of the family, who had decided to toss me aside.

I was stunned at first when I first made contact with a pile of... what was it, trash cans? Boxes? I didn't even know. Everything hurt, but at least I didn't think I had any broken bones. The soft trash I was currently sprawled on made sure of that. Had to make sure to thank it later.

I staggered to my feet, cursing myself for having letting go of my weapon. Struggling to clear the stars that were dancing around me, I made my way towards the weapons and picked up and ax.

Spike was causing some major damage on Mr. Creepy. However, he wasn't the only one that had come out to play.

Just a few feet away from where I was standing was Mr. Creepy's younger brother... Mr. Creepy numero dos. He snarled, bearing his fangs. I gripped my ax tighter, bracing myself for the world of hurt that was to come and thinking 'Where's a slayer when you need one...'

Couldn't believe my eyes when the second uber-vamp came up. Thought there was only one of them!?

Thought that the one came out of the seal. Was the sodding seal opened again? Would more of these beyond bloody nasty buggers come out to play?

Not a pleasant thought, considering how sodding tough the first one was. Now there were two here and fighting with only Xander, wasn't likely to win this one. My bleeding existence was now in jeopardy, as well as Xander's. Had this first one licked. Sure, bugger didn't die very easily and a stake, even with as much force as I could thrust behind it, hadn't died when I'd staked it, but I thought that I'd get there eventually...

Way the slaya had put it, I'd have no prayer against this thing...especially if she hadn't hurt the things in her past meetings with it. Maybe thinking of her gave me the desire along with the power to beat this thing. But now, there were two and I had to be sharp. They surrounded me, but before both of them could sodding attack me, Xander came up with a sword. He swung it hard, but the uber-dink turned and took it in the shoulder, then again ripped the sword out and smashed Xander in the face.

I had my own problems with the other uber-dink, but the thing was going to kill Xander, except that I saw Kennedy jump on it's back, a take in her neck.

Got slashed across the chest and punched in the face, launching me airborne because I had taken on the bloody role of spectator for a second there.

Both uber-dinks growled at the sight of a girl, a potential. The one that had hit me wne to it's butt-ugly brethren and grabbed Kennedy, picking her up and sinking it's fangs into her neck.

"NOOOOO!" I screamed, leaping up and kicking the biter in the side of the head as it let Kennedy go and flew across the air, landing on it's side.

Leapt on it, knowing that I had no time, jabbing it repeatedly in the neck before it could react. Before long, it's head started to detach and dust sprouted all around me. Wasting no time, I went to the other uber-dink, who was choking Xander, ready to offer a death blow. Saw the fear in Xander's eyes and also saw that Kennedy was not moving. Tackled it and it let Xander go, but it got ahold of me and stabbed me in the stomach, tossing me through the air.

This was not good. I would need bloody recovery time. I didn't know if all of the kibbles and bits were in their right places internally after bein stabbed and I would need a second to prod and play and make sure that I wasn't about to die.

Xander didn't have that time. We might both be dead and Kennedy probably already sodding was. Sodding great. Let another girl die and Xander to boot.
