i had a dream that i was running through cornfields with people, and killing them as i went. i don't know why i was killing them. but i had to, and i did. they were people i knew.
then i was on a boat, a large cruise boat. there was a stage and risers, set in front of an audience of people that i knew. it reminded me of RYLA, kind of. i was wearing a bright red dress with gold sequins, and i was supposed to address the crowd. i sat on the risers as the curtains went up, wearing shorts and heels instead of the dress. i nearly fell over. i was about to start speaking when stephanie the RA, out of nowhere, introduced me and started to say my lines. she was doing it spitefully, and all i could do was sit there in front of the crowd, hating her.
then the boat started to sink. it was so strange. i had the idea that if everyone went below deck then the air above would keep the boat afloat. i watched the people run downward as i headed up to fix the problem. then everyone decided that up was better, half sinking the boat as they went...but still doing what was sane and staying out of the water. we started loading people onto the lifeboats. me and tommy mikolay. i realized that it was my LVR class, not my exeter ones. they were getting on small white plastic rafts that wouldn't hold the majority of the boat. i swam for help. i ended up on the shore and ran up into the building, which was the teacher's lounge building (from behind the stage that was on the boat...it was land and then it became a boat, the office stayed on the land). i found mrs. firmender. she and i raced out to get help for the people on the titanic, because that's what it was. mrs. firmender became my mother. i was frantic. i called 911, which turned out to be my dad. i explained the situation, that my friends were on the titanic, it was sinking, and they were going to die. mom and i got stuck in traffic. no one seemed as panicked as i was.
i realized in the dream that the titanic sank within a few hours, and it would take us that long to get to them, probably more considering that i had spent time swimming to shore. they were probably already dead.
then i woke up.
