In spite of daunting threats to the chatty style of writing, I shall persist in it for the moment.

Fenris_lorsrai and I had another leisurely morning.  I would have liked to go to the writing panel but it was at nine o'clock and in the other hotel.  I just wasn't in the mood for the trek.  Maybe if I'd brought a piece of my own writing I would do it, but not without some impetus to get up so early.  I also missed Iron Author since it was scheduled opposite the tournament the night before and I can't compete in two events running at the same time.  Oh well, there's always next year.

I wandered the dealers room and picked up a mouspad from
UrsulaV. I'm so happy to have a mousepad.  I've needed one for a while.  Having one with a work of art on it is just that much better.  I also picked up some prints for myself and my family.  My family except for my mother are fantasy enthusiests.   And I can get my mom anything with a cat and she'll be happy.  Thus furry conventions make a perfect holiday shopping expedition.  Bought Fenris Ursula's sole armadillo print.  Fenris currently has it up as computer wall paper; probably because she is an armadillo lover and no one does armadillo stuff.

I was enjoying myself wandering and was pretty certain it was past demo time by the time I thought about the demo, so I walked through the art show.  The whole time I'd been wandering around wearing the No Artistic Talent pin Grimm gave me.  I think about five people commented on it and how neat it was.  Guy that was guarding the mature show loved it.  I told everyone to try hitting Grimm up for it if they saw him.  I think it was just the right crowd.  I may have to wear that button every year since I'm really just an artist minder.

Left all the arty goodness to catch up with Fenris at the demo.   Not that there was much demoing going on.  With the tournament over, our followers seemed to have dried up.  We decided to exit to the art show and then consider what to do with our evening.

Normally, we stroll the mature show for stuff to laugh at.  The art in the mature show last year was largely horrible.  Poor skill and poses that were chosen for pure exploitation and said nothing emotional or interesting about sex.  There were still some that were just plain bad or exploitational.  A few seemed to be simple studies of the naughty bits of human anatomy rather than anything really interesting.  The majority of the work this year was truly art.  There seemed to be an explosion in the area of tasteful nudes.  I put a bid in on one and lost.  Managed to get a few prints that fell into this category on Sunday after seeing the work displayed on Saturday.  But even the work depicting sexual situations was much better.  I don't buy pornographic art, but I did enjoy examining the set ups and facial expressions on a good number of them.  I was very fond of a picture called 'Joyride' which was blatantly pornographic, but was so emotionally expressive that I didn't get tired of looking at it.

Fenris and I ran into
spotweld this time, and agreed to wait around until the close of the show for him to get off work so we could eat together.  My legs were kind of tired by the time the show closed, but all was well and we went up to his room to meet with his roommates and discuss ordering out.  Spotty produced some coupons for a pizza place and we agreed to order pizza.  I got put in charge of ordering by default of being a little less patient.  Everyone was agreeing on what food was to be ordered, but no one was doing anything about seeing that food was actually produced.  I'm not big on passing the buck around so voila, I call the pizza place.  Except the room phones don't seem to work.  So after trying two different room phones and doing exactly what the instructions said, I produce my cell phone and call the place.  Apparently the guy taking the phone in orders is hard of hearing.  I had to repeat everything three and four times for him to get the order down, which was very, very annoying.

Spotty produced games and we ended up playing The Works while waiting for pizza.  Since I ordered the pizza I also got the task of going down to the lobby and picking up the pizza when the pizza guy arrived.  This was fine going down, but getting back up took forever and I was in the front of the line to get up.  There was pizza and drinks involved in this, so picture if you will me balancing two extra large pizza boxes on one hand and two bottles of pop curled up under my other arm.  Someon tried to open my pizza boxes and steal my pizza on the trip up.  My error for offering to help them.  I finally managed to push the coupons that were left in my other hand off on them and keep the lid on the pizza.  I kicked on the door when I got back because I had no spare hands.

We finished off the works.  It was late and I was kind of achey after the evening, so we went back to the room and Fenris gave me a back rub.  Since I am skilled in giving back rubs, I know exactly how to relax for one.   I relaxed to the point where I had a brief moment of sufficating on my own flesh when Fenris pushed my back muscles up too far.  Considering some of the joint problems I have in my legs she suggested I just might have generally lose joints.  I did used to know how to kiss my elbow and could touch my toes to the top of my head, so maybe she's right.  anyway, got wonderful backrub which involved my feet feeling all tingly and my lower back throbbingly numb, which is just the way I like it.  There was an illusion of gaming until we fell asleep.
