Work
Hard day at work yesterday. I had to come in early to take one of my guys to a class he's been going to, then we took all four of them out to a Jamboree. That sounds like fun but it was pouring rain outside and horribly noisy inside. One of the guys was miserable and didn't want to be there so he kept moaning and wailing.
To make things worse, the makeshift parking lot had filled in so much I had trouble getting the van out and didn't turn a corner quite wide enough... the van now has a big ol' dent in the passenger side sliding door from the bumper of another car. I'm just glad the other car wasn't damaged.
To be fair the chicken was delicious and dancing with the guys was fun. I even rocked around the dance floor with a wheelchair, which is both challenging and amusing. Needless to say, though, I'm pretty tired and having trouble motivating myself on the subject of the extra shift I'm doing tonight.
Ah, well. Seven hours might seem like a long shift, but it's less than half of what I did yesterday, so it probably won't feel so bad.
