Here is a
brief, but interesting article on the projected destruction of illegally privately owned weapons. Interesting that no mention is made of the international weapons trade that fuels ownership or of how military weapons use is monitored. I'm particularly intrigued that a U.S. based NGO is driving the destruction of these weapons while the U.S. has clearly been involved in supporting one side of past in-fighting. Not that I'm saying people should be allowed illegal weapons, but I'm not impressed by double-standards.
