life has been good :)
recently, i went to ames, where i got to enjoy,
-the company of a best friend, maggie
-see an old professor & catch up, rachel meyers is one of the smartest women i know
-run through isu's tailgate lots
-walk through friley, even if it made me cry
-hang out with thomas
-eat jeff's pizza
-have a raspberry daiquiri at WAS with kelsey & maggie
-walk in my 1st 5k, the main motivation being the cute tshirts, but also helping to cure arthritis
-have lunch with a former sorority sister
then, work has been going super well,
-i sold my biggest ever house (ok so only $179,000, but avg. here is $83K), topping my summer sale too
-i should close on two deals this week
-i wrote two offers last week
-i have one deal in the pot, and another in negotiations, another fell through yesterday night
-on the down side, having huge troubles getting my apartments rent :-( wish i could think of a new approach
home has been good too, mostly
-still loving living at home with mom & dad
-last week, my/dad's taurus died. thankfully mom & dad will help me out with a new-to-me car
-i have been getting more sleep, thanks to my commitment to be less social, even took last night to myself, even if that meant a mass cleaning spree
-my dog bite is mostly healing well, with a few flukes along the way. the owner of the dog did finally send me a check for the ER visit
-mom & dad are traveling a lot. i am jealous, ojai cali, then florida for sailing lessons
-dad is buying a sailboat to weekend on, he is pumped, to say the least
-kelsey was rear-ended for the 2nd time in 6 months, ouch, so she is getting a new-to-her car, too
boyfriend fun
-when girlfriends get boyfriends & get busier, it's nice to have more time with your boyfriend
-my boyfriend can make ravioli from scratch
-he's super cute
-we get to have a sleepover this weekend
-we like to cook together, sushi & pumpkin pie are our recent favs
last weekend i bought my first little black dress, which is MACHINE WASHABLE, bought it to wear to aunt maxine's 90th bday party next weekend at the national press club in DC. can't wait to go, to get out of IA, to see family i haven't seen in ages, to wear a fancy dress at a fancy party :-)
