For the people who warned me about the curses when I got here - I'm told I've seen two already. Overworking and oversleeping. So far, so much like med school ( Read more... )

Oh, cool, I make the cut.

I'm not sure how much the apartments run, to be honest. It's just like regular city like that, though. The bigger the place, the nicer the room, the more expensive it is.

Don't rush out to get hurt just for me.

Two indigo seems to be the average rate for a two bed. I'll have to look into how much I need a roommate.

I don't think I'll break any bones soon.

It depends on how much you want to deal with either a pet or the ticking.

Good to hear.

I haven't spent enough time alone with the ticking to figure out my tolerance level. Pets would probably need someone else around to feed them, that's the thing. I work insane hours.

Well the ticking is the same story for everyone. If you spend enough time alone with it, you'll go insane.

Maybe I'll see if anyone's looking.

Not so far. Though to be fair it wasn't exactly an advert.

Well if you need a place to crash for a night, we have a sofa bed here.

I'm actually occupying someone else's sofa right now, I just have the feeling she'd rather it wasn't a permanent arrangement.

Thank you.

I hope it's not, like, awkward.

Maybe a little. Mostly between me and the cat.

Not that it's any of my business. You know, I feel like I remember there being a church or something here a long time ago that took in people who didn't get an apartment right away, just until they could get adjusted. It might be worth looking into.

I'd rather not stay in a church, either.

It's fine. I'll be able to get my own place shortly, I don't think anything's liable to explode before then. I do appreciate the thought.

You should probably knock on wood in that case. You might jinx yourself.
