my saturday...
man, had some fun yesterday...
my friend i work with at pbs and her fiancé threw a party at their gorgeous place they have just 40 mins west of me up here...
perfect weather, two croquet courses, about 30+ people... lots of official rules, catered food (calamari cerviche salads+ black bean corn and shrimp, bbq grilled pulled pork and pineapple, chicken and grilled red pepper, grilled portabello mushrooms, superfresh homemade guac, salsas, soft tacos, beer, and beautiful people... all my age (had lots of mini instant crushes... everyone was so interesting)
oh and babies... loads and loads of babies... makes me realize how old i am... and happy to not have one... but i like playing with others...
also makes me realize how little face to face human contact i have on a day to day basis
there were four qualifying rounds and two semifinals that boiled down into a final double course game which ended with headlamps...
i came in first in the first round but got quickly eliminated in the second because of one bad shot...
Tia got assaulted lots of petting and kisses by little ones and adults and she was a perfect gem, carefully licking applesauce off the babies faces and sticking close by when i left her off leash...
i wish there was one of these every weekend,
i need some friends up here
