NOT FOR THE WEAK OF HEART

The letter begins with a greeting
"Dear Sarah"
but there is nothing dear about this letter
the ink turning over thoughts to pages
A pair of scissors next to the towel of white
He takes an envelope from the very bottom drawer
3 down the top
Scrawls the adress and licks the edges
"Remember I said I would do anything to get you back"
He sighs with relief that the first step is done
For he knows the next part will be dificult on his nerves
Imaging the future that could have happened
The deed must be done now or it will all be in vain
"I hope You apreciate the sacrifice I made"
He extends his ring finger with the gold band still on it
Resting both edges at the intersection of joints
With one short breath the blades come together severing the skin
It drops into the open arms of the envelope
And just like that its contents are sealed
On the back of the blod stained page
Were written 5 simple words in a echoing red ink
5 Words he heard before but his sarah must have forgotten them
