Yesterday I decided to let one of my small dogs sit on my lap while I stretched out in the hammock to read. She was very excited about the prospect but for the first few seconds she found it hard to balance on top of me with the hammock swaying back and forth. It didn't take her long to figure out that if she swayed slightly in the other direction, she'd keep her balance, so she proceeded to do that, which made laugh (which made the hammock sway some more).
When the swaying was just about to settle down, I noticed that she almost seemed to speed up her swaying rhythm and the hammock started to sway again! (which of course cracked me up, producing even more swaying) It took a while until we got settled enough that I could stop laughing and start reading, but I think she enjoyed her little adventure. She's not usually allowed outside in the area where the hammock is so it was a treat to her.
