Summary: Even if it's just for a little while, Junmyeon's content. Inspired by the way Jongdae can't seem to keep his hands off Junmyeon during the ending to SMTOWN Tokyo and
this. And also
this Junmyeon likes it best when all twelve of them are doing promotions together and all the rooming arrangements get shot to hell even though they are always checked into rooms in accordance to the way they normally are in the dorms. It is even better when all twelve of them are back in Korea together and away from prying eyes and fans who could easily take pictures of them even going between each other’s rooms.
(There is no imagining all the types of comments that would pop up on Naver after that, not to mention all the different fanfiction pairings that would crop up as well.
Junmyeon would rather the fans not give Baekhyun and Chanyeol more ideas on what they can do to each other, or to let them elaborate on how it would be a good idea for Jongin and Kyungsoo to actually make out in the kitchen right before breakfast.)
No, the best part of it all is when Jongdae comes over to his and Sehun’s room and the youngest disappears into EXO-M’s apartment into Luhan’s room so that both the vocalists have the room to themselves.
At times when they are so desperate to touch each other’s bare skin, it becomes a flurry of clothes and then tangled limbs and tongues and teeth of them rolling onto Junmyeon’s bed, or pushing each other against the wall, hands wandering the expanse of each other’s bodies as the urgency burns between them, white-hot instead of just red flame because it’s been too long since they’ve been together. It is breathy moans and needy gasps that seem to echo in the room, and Junmyeon saves them all, locks them all away in his brain for laters when Jongdae is not around and he needs release so badly.
The time that they have together, just the two of them alone is never quite enough when Junmyeon is unable leave the marks he so desperately wants to make on Jongdae, and the younger boy can just be unrestrained in the darkness of the room, keening and desperate and needy and all the other things that he can’t be up on stage, out in the world and Junmyeon loves that only he and he alone is the sole witness to the way Jongdae lets himself be free, unfettered by all the personas he puts up when he is Chen.
Here with Jongdae, Junmyeon can be raw and unchained and demanding, all the things that Suho is not; under the angelic smiles and the sweetness lies a boy, not quite yet a man who needs to be expressed in ways that he can’t fully do onstage when the lights are glaring and cameras are snapping away, and there are six others (ten, eleven) that he needs to look after.
Junmyeon loves all the befores and durings and afters of whatever time they have together, and he particularly enjoys waking up to the feel of Jongdae’s head pillowed on his shoulder as the younger boy cuddles up to him close under the covers, long lashes fluttering against his cheeks and looking so delicate and beautiful while he sleeps. He watches Jongdae like this, smoothing a finger over the prominent cheekbones and jawline over and over again as if memorizing his face with his hands until Jongdae inevitably wakes up, sleepy eyes and languid smile and Junmyeon leans over to kiss him and they take their time much slower, unhurried to explore and familiarize each other and just enjoy the feel of each other’s bodies all over again until it’s time to really, truly, wake up and face the real world.
It doesn’t really matter if they can’t hold hands or kiss in public or even be in the same country for long; it is all the little moments and the way they spend their time together that makes them who and what they are to each other, and it is even more meaningful when he opens up his arms and Jongdae runs to him for a hug gleefully onstage, and even if it’s just for a little while, Junmyeon is content.
