Public Service Announcement
Those of you in the Greensboro area will be happy to know that the Quiznos' Hire-a-Stoner Program is a smashing success.
We stopped at Quiznos on Saturday for a late lunch - and because we had coupons for a couple bucks off sandwiches. I love Quiznos' sandwiches, especially the Turkey, Ranch & Swiss (or, at least, I did love them until this particular store switched to an awful processed turkey that tastes fatty and watery). The guy behind the counter was a hoot. Tattoos began at the wrists and disappeared up his sleeves (nice ink, too!). Lots of twitchy motion wihtout really getting anything accomplished. He was quite nice, but definitely functioning on...well, I'll say fewer functioning brain cells than most of us have. After he'd rung up my order and applied the coupon to the total, I paid him. About 30 seconds later, he noticed the coupon again and asked me if he'd rung it up.
I refrained from saying, "Yes, Sir Tokesalot, you did." But I thought it.
I gotta say that for a stoner, Quiznos would be an awesome place to work in regards to what to do when the munchies hit. But they definitely gotta do something about that low-grade turkey mystery meat they're putting on the sandwiches these days. Ugh!
BTW, anybody watch the Stupid Bowl? I watched the commercials. Nothing sucked worse than the Pepsi commercial. I'm personally offended, given that Pepsi is my drink of choice. You know it's bad when a world-wide-selling company's multi-million-dollar commercial sucks worse than the local cheezy auto dealer's commercial!
