April 9ths challenge was to write about a memory.

REPRESSED MEMORY

It blazed out of the void;
vivid,
breath stealing,
lung constricting,
heart stopping
clarity.

It approached;
malevolent,
venomous,
terrifying,
destructive
hand.

Blackness descended;
dizzying,
vertiginous,
nauseating
anxiety.

Damage control;
shutting down,
repairing breaches,
denying veracity,
restoring
sanity.
