Poetry Challenge

The challenge for April 5 was to write about a landmark, famous or otherwise.  I've chosen to write about local landmarks in a slightly colloquial framework.

EASY ENOUGH

It's easy to find,
turn left at the water tower,
right at the old armory,
sixteen miles out you'll see
a house with a slate roof,
says in the slate, 1847,
just .3 miles from there's

I adore the colloquial framework. This was nice reading out aloud. Plus, being more visual, I could picture the landmarks along the way even though I have never been to your neck of the woods. :)

LOL, you wouldn't recognize my neck of the woods from this poem since I borrowed them from memories of other journeys.

I glad you enjoyed it. It was fun to write.
