So I've decided that after I get back from Seattle, I'm going to spend about a week and a half in the South. Maybe even longer if I have the money and if I can find the proper housing.
I'm going to do it in Mid-november. The reason I picked the south is because it's later in the year and it's mostly colder where I live, but in the South it'll be almost perfect temp. Plus I've always wanted to visit that area of the US. I figure I'll start in West Virginia, do some backpacking around there, than head through Virginia to North Carolina. I figure I can stay at my friend Matt Parla's house for a night or two while visiting North Carolina.
Than I'd head to Georgia, Alabama and Mississippi. And depending on how much money and how much time I have left I'll also try to make it to Lousiana. If I got really crazy and actually had the money to do this, I would love to make it to Texas than maybe keep going south towards Mexico. But Once again that all depends on how much time and how much money I'm able to save.
I also might just skip West Virginia and fly straight to South Carolina, hang out with Matt for a day or two, than go directly to Georgia, Alabama and Mississippi.
After that trip I'm going to have to stay New York bound for a while until I'm able to save up more money for my next big trip =).
I'm so excited about my West Coast trip. I'm leaving September 20th and going to Seattle, WA, Portland, OR, (hopefully) California and Vancouver, B.C. I'm spending a month and seven days on the West Coast. Than coming back and spending a week in Connecticut, than a week in new York (for the birth of my friends baby) than heading back out down south and staying there for a week or two.
