Others have said this before, but
jongibbs is the most recent, so he gets the credit: "Sometimes it's good to take a break."
The writing results, after 3 days off:
1 interview for the next
Edible Green Mountains.
1 drafted picture book. This is one I seem to pull out every summer for another go. The idea has actually been percolating somewhere in the gray matter for something like 16 years. (I know I did a draft last summer or fall and I know I posted about it, but I can't find the post.)
333 words on the pbj project.
Also, calls and emails sent for a bit of reporting I need to do by the end of the day on Thursday.
Tomorrow I'm off, doing a bit of research for a non-fiction piece I need to pull together. This is one of those subject that won't let me go, so I'd better make something happen with it. Since it's geology-based, it isn't exactly going anywhere, but now is the time for me to do more digging (on the story).
It was while I was thinking about this non-fiction project that I realized how much I have been intrigued by geology, going all the way back to childhood, when I was such a rock collector that I made holes in all pockets.
