Instep

Alice pulled her boots on. “Tonight had better be worth it,” she muttered, pulling the zips before adjusting the laces. She stomped as hard as she could, trying to gauge whether or not she'd be able to stand them after trick-or-treating and a full night of dancing ( Read more... )

Just wish I knew what happened! You need a Chapter 2
And City Club is a scary place to be *shudders*

There is a chapter 2 in the works. my little zombies are anxious to come out and play again.

but why is city club scary? I'm a fan of the strict rules... makes it nice and safe, and i've never actually witnessed a fight there.

Just Detroit in general kind of creeps me out, especially at night. When the rules are that you have to be wearing a thong, I think I should not be there ;) I probably don't need to tell you that I don't really live on the edge!

You don't have to wear a thong! i would never set foot in there. its just that you can. they're very liberal with the meaning of 'clothing' thats all.

That's that part that gets me; the liberal application of the word "clothing". I'm a big, giant scaredy cat: I only go for the theater, not for the more...uh...authentic parts of our fair city.

LOL. its not nearly as scary as it looks. and haven't seen the girl with the pasties in a while. i do love the theatre too though.

Have you been to the Fox? Now that is worth venturing into the seedy underbelly for!

The Fox, the Fisher, the Masonic, the Hillberry, the DSO... i'm sure there are others, but i can't think of them now. I've seen everything from broadway to the beach boys at the fox...

So you are a true Detroiter, through and through. I'm not so sure about that Hoffa myth, though *crooks a skeptical eyebrow your way*

its a myth. like the ones that say he's burried under the 50yard line at Giant's stadium. Although given how shady the Ramada was before it became the Leeland Inn, it really wouldn't surprise me. its not like anyone wold notice an extra scream.

They dug up a farm out here in Milford, I think it was last year? because they were sure he was there. Poor old farmer, probably never got it set to rights again after they were through with it. If you ask me, he is in several pieces, or sleeping with some big fishes. They'll never find that guy.

i'd bet for the bottom of the Flint River. If it can disolve a car down to its frame given enough time, i think a body would be much easier.

They dug up some abandoned field and i think factory in the city last month too. Since it hasn't been in the news except for the announcement, i guess they didn't find anything there either.

Yes, my money is on the Flint River. I wouldn't eat the perch anyone caught out of there *shudders* My question is why anyone cares anymore. Someone is making good money digging up empty places, though.

technically, if its a murder investigation, there's no statute of limitations.

And I think the feds want to prove they aren't the ones who killed him.

must be fun to galavant across the country in search of a ghost.

It's true about the statute, it just seems to me that they are a wee bit TOO enthusiastic in their pursuit of the truth. I mean, if they applied that much zeal to other cold cases, just think of what might be solved. I think that they are going to dig up every square inch of Michigan and find whatever is buried just by mistake, at this point! Hoffa has never really interested me, but I can see the appeal of the unsolved case. I have other ones that call my name and I burn to find the truth, even if it doesn't really matter now.

i'm mostly facinated by the myths of what happened to him, far more than the truth of what the feds find.

i think i'd like them to figure it out so maybe michigan can get a little less bad press.
