“I know it's a gamble, but all relationships are,” Daria said as she shrugged. “I don't see how this is different.”
Her best friend, Jackie, looked at her incredulously.
“I know it's a risk, ok, and I know I could get hurt. But that's nothing new.”
“You love him?”
“I think I do.” Daria blushed, packing the last of her things for her holiday.
“And what about him?”
Daria nodded, pulling out the necklace Rob bought, a ruby and diamond encrusted strawberry. “He thought it was too early for the ring. So he picked this out."
