Sometimes the heart has to bleed to know what isn't good for it. A bleeding heart may continue with what it knows to be bad, but it'll take notice of the sentiment all the more; never wanting time to pass.
Sometimes the wounds are so deep, they become addictive...almost like a drug that pulls the heart to crave more. The logic of the mind is taken over by the desires to which the heart now possesses.
Fearful of not remembering what it wants, the heart may purposely position itself in the same stabbings over and over just to keep the memory fresh. Conscious of it's own mistakes, the heart may attempt to find excuses to keep its hopes alive.
Ultimately finding what it craves the most, the heart subtly becomes frozen, weakened, and then begins to fall apart as it starts to fall from the sky. In the end, the fall increases rapidly to a blunt, paralyzing halt. The heart then sadly dies as it realizes the beating it once did has now stopped.
