so i cooked eggplant parmesan on christmas, and it's about all that actually went RIGHT that day... long story, my brother got angry, punched a steel reinforced door, broke his hand, and spent a large part of the day with my parents in the ER. but this is totally off-topic.
making my egg. parm. was wonderful. i feel like i executed it much more efficiently and much more confidently than last time. the breading and frying went so much better... my tomato sauce almost made me orgasm... and the end product was enjoyed by every person at the table--even kim and my mom and dad, who DON'T like eggplant! :)
anyway, i've been reading recipes lately... i'm used to just creating things on my own, and i like to do that, but i need to start practicing following directions to a T and being able to replicate something over and over.
therefore, i am resolving to (slowly) cook my way through these 24 recipes until i have gotten each one perfect and could confidently serve them to a total stranger, knowing they could say absolutely nothing but YUM:
