northern lights, golden navels, castenada

Jun 19, 2005 23:52

shadowy waves of reverie rushing through
the underbrush and hush of sleeping
dogs (gods)

highway grass bending
graffiti directionless
roars, one with the wind

grand faceless plains part ([w]hole)
oceans
of interpretation imparting toothless
truths

the trunks of trees have
burned brilliantly brittle like
ashes of lashes
closed
the rememberscent
ascends in flashes -
roadwork

dakota like a long walk
north or swimming floods in the
tire(d) tracks of dancing
grasses grown too large for
childhood shoes
untied

you float away

towards

everything

into thin air
in tooth and air
on the bareback of an elephant
shaking at mirrored forks (in)
the stainless steel thievery of
roadkill still
life

motion a memory in the mind
of oriole innocence
orange tips tapping foreheads or
the lisps of dancefloors
built on aesop and appleseeds

all rushes to a

hush

the quiet gives

way

to possibilities

lonely leaves laugh
skipping their way down dotted lines of
newborn noses
hazy horizons
her eyes on
finished masterpieces of paint that
gallop like polysyllabic vacations

to parking lots

farmers of men - each finger a
flame

flatness

falls to grain elevator
elation

dragonflies drinking with
orioles out of drowned ditches
landfill arbourtetums become
all that will be ...

eternity

swaying baby dervish trees
turn with me

driftwood burns brighter
than power lines can stretch
than tipped carriages can carry
than thighs exposed can cleverly hint at -
the scent of a rose risen (fallen) to a
wilt

the paisley prophets flower forth
the room - emptiness - in BLOOM
the yawn a BOOM

bliss

is

this ...

the owl
the om

niscient ALL draped over shoulders like a golden all-embracing shawl of shivers we drink like

sap
