like origami giants
wrens
caught in butterfly nets never
cast in brighter light
seagull white whoosh and swoop
like babies sleeping
milky-breathed secret serenities escaping as
dreamscapes of neck napes lipped like
patient envelopes
folded paper
molded and shaped in crayon or clay
the day
yawns
and
the mirror
laughs
as
the ceiling fan slowly flips
through salt-kissed pages of
fireflown photographs
whose moments continue their
eloquent echo
of
a chorus resounding
ONE
ONE
ONE
ONE
days dissolve - a
quiet acquiescence
the castles sleep
brings break brick by
brick by
brittle wick
forever aflame
inertia loses names in its nomadic push
the mule swallowed by mythology gives way to
dyslexia
and slithering sarcasms implore us to
explore the hidden emanations of the
hindu kush.
