Kutner stormed out of the operating room and headed for the exit. He felt like he would burst if he did not get away from it all. Somewhere behind him he could hear Cuddy calling him but he pushed the sound away as the automatic doors opened and enveloped him in the early evening air. Breathing deeply, he felt himself become weak and realized with sudden dismay that he was about to faint. Just as he felt the earth tilt beneath him Thirteen grabbed his lab coat.
‘We can’t save them all.’ she whispered as the world disappeared around them.
