Catching up

On Sleep:

Even though I only had a 2-day work week, I still feel exhausted. Friday night I went to go see Derrick Carter at 740. I was already in downtown, but because party time isn't until way after I get off from work, I had to go home and then drive to Sean's house. Didn't leave Orange until almost 11 and we headed back to LA. Dancing has to be one of the most liberating things to do. Watching people dance is also quite entertaining. Everyone has that one signature move that they always do. Watch next time, it's funny. Got home around 5 and slept all throughout the day (and night).

On the Clean-Up:

Before I left for vacation, we started some renovations to the house. All of our belongings were in boxes in different areas of the house. When I returned, there were no sheets on my bed, some of my boxes were in my room and lots of things were missing. Needless to say, some very important documents that I had in a plastic bag inside one of the many boxes were tossed away by my father. I have not gotten the chance to scold him yet as he is out gallavanting with his compadres. Just you wait.

Tons of laundry has yet to be done. It's funny when you go on vacation. You overpack and don't use half of the clothes you bring only to have to wash it all when you return.

On Life:

Ever since I started working at K&E, I haven't really had much time to do anything. Only until recently (after moving from one case to another) have I had the chance to do the things I've neglected. So I finally went to the gym on Thursday. I'm still sore, but it's a good feeling. Feeling sore after working out makes me feel like "it's" working. Hopefully I'll be able to get back into some kind of a workout routine soon.

I made a another new friend at work. It's refreshing to meet people with similar interests and personalities that you can just click with.

Gotta catch up with the fam now. More to come...
