Epilogue

DAVID'S POV
Knock, knock, knock.
“Damn it!” I exclaimed, heading to the door. This was the last thing I needed; to be interrupted when, for once, I had some alone time with Mi.
I stormed to the door and opened it, revealing my brother and my so-called best friends.
I rolled my eyes. “What do you guys want?”
“Uh, well, we were supposed to hang out for your birthday, bro,” Andrew said.
“Yeah, don’t we always?” Kyle asked. “Anyway, what in the hell are you wearing?”
I glanced down and suddenly remembered what I was wearing. Damn me for not remembering to put on a robe or something before answering the door.
“It doesn’t matter,” I said, trying to avoid the subject. “Can you guys just come back later?”
“Why?” Andrew questioned.
I sighed. I was in no mood for him to be hard-assed. He was going to leave.
“If I wanted you to know why, I would’ve told you why. Just come back later, all right?” I said, getting more and more aggravated by the minute.
Normally, I’d be all for hanging with the guys and getting a few drinks, but not that night. I had something better to do and I wasn’t about to pass it up.
“Dude! Let me see what he’s wearing!” Neal exclaimed, attempting to push past the guys to see.
“Geez!” Andrew and I exclaimed at the same time.
All of a sudden, Andrew’s phone rang. He took it out of his pocket and sighed.
“Give me a minute,” he said. “It’s Cassie.”
Andrew walked off and started talking on the phone, and the guys started filing into the house, despite the glares that they were receiving from me. I didn’t want them here at the time. Why didn’t they understand that?
They all found a seat in the living room, and I stood, looking at them, trying to find a way to get them to leave.
Kyle examined me for a minute and then shook his head. “Seriously, dude. What in the hell are you wearing?”
“None of your business,” I growled, clenching my fists. I just wanted them to leave. Maybe if I started getting pissed enough, they would. But, I doubted it.
“Dude, what’s your fucking deal?” Neal asked. “You were all for this yesterday!”
“Something else came up,” I said simply, really wishing that they would go away and come back later. They had no idea what I had planned. It was a hell of a lot better than going out for beers.
“David, what could possibly be better than going out for drinks with your best buds, huh?” Neal asked. “Nothing I would fucking think!”
“You would be surprised, Neal,” I said, very aggravated at this point. “Just, please, leave. If you leave and come back later, I promise that I’ll explain everything.”
“Just tell us why you want us to leave and maybe we will,” Kyle said, crossing his arms.
I sighed. I hated when they acted so stubbron. It mad me so angry. I wanted them to leave, and they wouldn’t. The only reason being that I was aggravated that they were staying. They thought it was funny. Plus, they knew that I wouldn’t act like it didn’t bother me. My temper was too bad for that. I groaned and looked down the hallway, dying to get back to my room. There was something waiting for me there. They guys always seemed to forget that I was married now. Kyle was too, so, I thought that at least he would understand. But, apparently he didn’t.
“Kyle, you should understand,” I said to him, knowing if I could make him understand, he would leave, and the others would follow.
Kyle gave me a look that said ‘WTF’ and I sighed. It was hopeless. I was going to be stuck hanging out with my annoying friends instead of spending time with my amazing wife that was waiting to make my birthday a little extra special than it normally was.
“Kyle, you’re married,” I said. “Just, think about it. You know why I want you to leave.”
“No,” Kyle said. “I don’t understand. Now, change out of the weird outfit and let’s get the hell out of here and have a party!”
“Kyle…”
At just that moment, I heard a noise coming from the bedroom, and then the click of those familiar ‘fuck me’ heels on the hardwood floor that lined the hallway.
Before I had time to run around the corner and stop her, Mi came into the room, swinging a pair of handcuffs from her wonderfully amazing fingers.
Andy, Kyle, and Neal were all gawking at her and I glared.
“Nice outfit,” they all chanted in unison.
I sighed but didn’t remove my eyes from Hermione. She looked so damn sexy.
Normally, Hermione would never have reveled herself like this to the guys, but, I knew that she was here to save the day this time.
“Officer Cook,” she chanted, pretending not to notice the guys. “I’ve been a very bad girl. I think that I need to be punished.”
The guys shot me a look that had ‘nice’ written all over it. They got up and were about to leave the house when Andrew came back into the room.
“All right, Dave, let’s get-” Andrew started, but he paused when he saw the scene in front of him. “Dude, what the hell?! Oh my God! What are you doing?!”
The guys laughed, and so did I, and we waited to see if he would continue or not.
“Do you know what would be really fucking helpful, Dave? If you’d put a sign on your door that says, ‘Hello, I’m playing one of my freakish games with my wife right now. Please come back later.’! Geez! I’m out of here!”
Andrew stormed out the door, and the guys followed him immediately, and as soon as they were gone, I turned around to face Mi.
“Now,” I said. “Where were we?”
She smiled seductively and pulled me back to our room.
Life was good.
