busy day
Today I had two wonderful men, my brother-in-law and his brother, at my house all day re-plumbing my upstairs bathroom. I now have a working sink and pipes run to the bathtub. I am grateful beyond belief, not only for the great job they did, but also for the great attitude they had while doing it. Doing improvements in my home can be very challenging. Nothing is even and one thing usually leads to another, to another, to another... These gentlemen took it all in stride and I appreciated that more than anything. It was actually fun having them here. It has been over three years since I've had running water in my upstairs bathroom. It is time.
I just finished watching the movie, Little Miss Sunshine. It was terrific! I love watching dysfunctional families that love each other. A great movie that I would recommend. Two nights ago I watched another favorite movie of mine, My Cousin Vinny. I hadn't seen it in a long while and it was great fun to watch. It's another movie I'd recommend if you haven't seen it. I think I'll stop watching movies for a few days and get some more work done around the house. Next week I'll do some painting. It'll feel good to have some new color in the house.
I went for a nice walk today with my neighbor who I haven't seen in close to a month. I've been busy with school and she has a new job. I'm having withdrawals because we spent so much time hanging out this summer. My pug likes to play with her dogs and I used to bring him over to her yard so they could run. I miss that and so does Max. We made a date to go out for lunch next week. We'll stop at the bookstore first and spend some time sitting in the aisles reading and chatting. That is exactly the type of thing I need to be doing on my vacation. I can't wait.
I'm gonna sleep good tonight. My back is killing me, though I don't know why and I've been working non-stop all day. That's it for today.
