Heather, Lori and Jim at Scrabble in the City Originally uploaded by
Word Freak. If you couldn't make it last week, or you've been meaning to check us out for ages, join us tonight for
our fun little Scrabble club on the patio at Kilgour's.
Last week we had a computer Theme Word Prize, which was won by Libero, who walked away with Microsoft Flight Simulator 2005: A Century of Flight computer game for playing both INTERNET* and EMAIL in a game.
* Can you spot the phoney? Only one of these words submitted for our Theme Word Prize is unacceptable in the 2006 Official Club and Tournament Word List:

Please join us every Monday night for a casual game or two over drinks and/or tasty eats. The fun and games take place at Kilgour's pub on Bloor Street (just east of Bathurst). We start at 7PM and go 'til close to midnight.
Come for a game or come for a drink. Stay as long as you want. Meet other cool people. Throw down a few tiles as you knock back a drink or two. Play a theme word and win a cool prize!
Not everyone who plays with us on Monday nights is so competitive, so don't worry about how good you are or how many words you know. I provide a "cheat sheet" of all the 2- and 3-letter words to get you going, and there's a mostly casual, laid-back vibe at
Scrabble in the City.
I hope you can join us.
