Originally uploaded by Word Freak. Monday night is Scrabble night in Toronto.

Join in on the fun and games at Kilgour's pub on Bloor Street (just east of Bathurst). We start at 7PM and go 'til close to midnight. Come for a game or come for a drink. Stay as long as you want. Meet other cool people. Throw down a few tiles as you knock back a drink or two. Play a theme word and win a cool prize.

Not everyone who plays with us on Monday nights is so competitive, so don't worry about how good you are or how many words you know. I provide a "cheat sheet" of all the 2- and 3-letter words to get you going, and there's a mostly casual, laid-back vibe at Scrabble in the City.

There's still a few tickets left for the Scrabble With The Stars. Play Scrabble with Canadian celebrities such as Margaret Atwood, Michael Burgess, Graham Greene, Ken Kostick, Sharon, Lois or Bram!

Help PAL (Performing Arts Lodge) Toronto's supporting cast raise funds for much needed mobility aids. The event is on Monday, April 3 at PAL Place (110 The Esplanade).

For just $60 you can have a great dinner, play Scrabble with someone famous and get a ballot to win amazing prizes, while helping a good cause.

To reserve a spot email admin@paltoronto.org or call 416-777-9674.

You'll find some pictures from last year's event here.
