I'm just back from my Scrabble road trip and ready to play some more laid-back, pub-style Scrabble tonight.

In last week's Scrabble in the City, music was the theme, which produced words such as: FRET, SOUND, DUB, RIFFS, GIGS, ALTO, and MI (as in DO RE MI). Michael's RIFFS won the popular vote, but everyone was a winner, as free iTunes Music Read more... )

Hey, I coined a new phrase tonight at Scrabble in the City: "The Gabor" is when you make a double ZA play. Get it? Za-Za Gabor? Meh, nevermind.

And back on my travels in Spain I heard someone use the phrase "Kiki" as a euphemism for sex. So the double QI or KI play will now be referred to as "The Spanish Fly." Go figure.

Hey, if you can call the blank a rabbit, the S a mouse and the Z a hammer.... ;o)
