This new regeneration had something different. A bravery unrivalled. Well bravery is by far a kinder word for stupid, and this, his new face was definitely stupid.
There are rules, and sometimes he broke them, but not to this extent; crossing his own timeline. Surely, you get less reckless as you get older. . . Unless that's what he becomes, so old, so lonely, he crosses his own timeline for company.
The kind of company his older self had in mind left more questions than answers, and it shook the younger doctor to the core. He always knew he'd be the only man he could ever love, and that no one hated him more. He was a walking paradox that way. But what kind of man does he turn into in order for this to happen? What happened to him? What WILL happen to him?
He shrugs away the thoughts, he can't think like that. He has a rough idea of what he'll become; it's standing in front of him, smug grin, crazy hair, ridiculous dress. He'd called this a reunion. And The Doctor shuddered to think that meant this wouldn't be the first time he'd have to kiss his older lips.
