These fics are so much cooler because I wrote them on graph paper!

Just a Crush.
“Is this what you want?” Nick asked.
“Yeah,” Greg replied. Then he shook his head. “No. I mean, I don’t know.”
Nick sighed and started tapping his fingers on his knees.
“I thought I did, Nick,” Greg continued. “I wanted you for a while. A long while, which is probably why I don’t think I want you like that anymore.” Greg looked down at his lap. “You’re a good friend and coworker. I like what we have.”
“I see.” Nick didn’t show pain or anger from Greg’s admission.
Greg shrugged. “It must have just been a crush.”
“Do you still want to kiss me? And make sure?”
Greg nodded, leaning until his lips were pressed against Nick’s. He put all he could muster into the kiss, waiting for the bursts of light and beautiful violin chords and all the other clichéd expressions about the perfect kiss, but not one appeared. Nick moved to slide a hand up Greg’s arm, but Greg broke away.
“Sorry, Nick.” He looked Nick right in the eyes.
“Nothing?” Nick asked, a hint of hopefulness in his voice.
“Nothing.”
Silence filled the gap between them until Greg rose. He grabbed his jacket off the arm of the sofa, said something about hoping this wouldn’t make work awkward, and headed for the door.
“Thanks,” Greg said, turning to look at Nick as he turned the knob.
“Welcome,” Nick answered emptily, staring at the now-closed door. This wasn’t how he wanted it to be.
A/N: Inspired by (a) Desperate Housewives episode 115 Impossible (the whole Justin-kisses-Gabrielle-and-feels-nothing thing) and (b) the fact that I can't remember seeing Nick and Greg's first kiss NOT being perfect.

Just a Crush?
They were leaning in for a kiss, lips inches apart, when Greg pulled away.
“What’s wrong?” Nick was confused.
“I don’t know if I should kiss you.”
“I think you should kiss me.”
Greg laughed. “I know you do! But I don’t want to kiss you and get your hopes up if I don’t feel as strongly as I used to.”
“I like you, Greg, and I have for a long time. You might have had just a crush on me, and maybe that’s all I’ve got on you. Or it could be something more, right?”
Greg chewed his bottom lip in thought.
“Well, we’ve come this far…” he began.
“So you’ll kiss me? And make sure?”
Greg nodded and scooted closer to Nick. When he felt Nick’s lips meet his for the first time all the feelings and fantasies came rushing back. Greg moaned appreciatively and Nick grinned against his mouth. Nick’s hand slid up Greg’s back, and he slowly guided them down until Nick was lying on top of Greg, each part of Nick pressed against Greg.
“Well?” Nick asked when they broke apart.
“Wow…” Greg surged up for another one. “How far do you want to go?” he whispered as he kissed a trail along Nick’s jaw.
“Up to you,” Nick groaned.
Greg arched his hips in response, making sure Nick could feel his growing erection against Nick’s own.
“How’s that for a start?”
“Works for me,” Nick grinned again, and hands and mouths began to wander. This was how they both wanted it to be.
