I had to go to work this morning, just for a few hours to catch up on some things that were far too far behind. I stopped at a redlight before making a right turn. There was a car coming, so I waited. Suddenly, I get hit from behind. The car behind me didn't stop, just hit my car.
I got out and looked at my car as the other guy got out of his. My car was undamaged, and his looked to be the same. He started apologizing, and the feeling of nervous terror just radiated from him.
Since there was no damage and no injury, I wasn't too upset. I told him that things were fine, but we needed to exchange license and insurance information, just in case. He sighed and said, "Great. I'll get it."
He then got into his car....
....and sped out of the intersection at about 90 miles an hour.
I assume the guy had no insurance. Maybe he didn't have a valid license, but I think it was the lack of insurance that made him so nervous.
Oh, well...at least there was no damage other than scuffed paint and no one was hurt.
