Ok, where to start? Brendon and Spencer being brother/best friends is something I never would have thought of (or thought I'd like) but it works so well here, I love them around each other.
And Ryan is brilliant, him as Mr Darcy works really well. I like how Ryan and Spencer interact with each other, how that changes and then by the end, the flirting banter is great!
I like how the Pete storyline turned out, and the whole him and Ryan thing was weird but it worked and fitted.
Frank! I loved the whole Spencer and Frank friendship and I even loved the Frank/Gerard storyline, and I don't even like the pairing much. And the Ryan/Gerard thing was lovelovelove.
Basically, I loved it. Even though I still prefer the dynamics that Ryan/Spencer fic usually has, this is still awesome. ;D You and softlyforgotten make a great team.
I haven't read the book or anything, so I can't say how close it is/isn't but I think I'd prefer your version any day. ;)

Ah, yeah, trust me, we know. Pride and Prejudice will always have me thinking of Spencer strolling around Pemberley, of Ryan's collarbones and Brendon and Jon and their stupid smiling faces. *sigh*
I have been reading this from the very beginning but I wanted to wait until the end to leave feedback.I hate to comment every chapter with, "Oh this was just amazing." if I can leave better praise at the very end of the whole fic.
I must ruefully admit that I've never read Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice. Not because I've no desire to, just that I've never gotten around it. But there's a reason that it's a classic
( ... )
First off, you really should try reading the book. It's utterly lovely, or we wouldn't have wanted a Bandom version of it.
Ryan and his near-perfection for the role of Darcy really was what got us started on this in the first place. He does fit the role very well, and he likes to wear tailor-fitted clothes, so that was another plus. Also (and this might have been a reason only for me), casting Ryan as Darcy would lead to the lake scene and wet collarbones, ha.
Glad we could make you see the wonderfulness that is Ryan and Spencer!
As for Brendon and Spencer's relationship, it was tricky for us mostly because in the books, it's Elizabeth and Jane, who have an inherently sisterly relationship, and we weren't always sure we managed to stear clear of falling into the too-girly trap. We're so happy it worked for you.
(Also, Brendon is so much more than an over-eager four-year-old!)
Thank you so much for this; we're deeply flattered and all that. *beams*
This was so sweet! I loved the scene with Spencer and Ryan when they were watching the sunrise. I'm going to go reread this now... Who knows, you might actually get a review from that's not just "OMG RYAAAAAAAAAAN" this time around.
That said, OMG RYAAAAAAAAN. So cute in this chapter, with the cat noises. Sorry, I just had to say it. :)
