Picturesque Vancouver

As promised, here are a handful of photos from Vancouver.


Here's the Vancouver public library, which we saw on the way to dinner. Internet research indicates that it's supposed to resemble the Colosseum in Rome, which it certainly does, but we didn't go inside.



And here's me and Sparky standing in front of the (unlit) Olympic Cauldron.



And the view of the North Shore from the same plaza (sorry about the fogginess...but it was slightly foggy).



And turning around and looking the other direction from the last photo, you can see the shiny buildings of Vancouver.



No, don't adjust your screen, the thing on the left is actually a sculpture of a pixelated Orca. It was created by Douglas Coupland, yes, the author of Generation X, who is evidently a famous Vancouverite.
