I have no tolerance for the talkers, the texters, the candy wrapper-crinklers, the gigglers, the elderly "WHAT DID HE JUST SAY?"-ers, and the faux-European teens who think bathing in Axe Body Spray is a substitute for actual bathing. I hate being the guy forced to exert a bit of authority in telling people that they're out of line, because there are no ushers (or if there are, they're 16 years old and probably let the miscreants in for free to begin with).
Nor have I any tolerance for sticky floors, balky climate control, noise pollution from the adjoining theater, extortionate prices, really terrible scriptwriting, and lack of beer.
So yeah, count me among those who'll be delighted to get together with a select group of friends to watch movies on a 50" screen with surround sound, where we can have whatever food and drink we want, and where we can pause the picture for emergency potty breaks.
Though if you can find me a movie theater that enforces behavioral norms and maintenance regimes equivalent to those at Orchestra Hall, that might be even better. Maybe. I'd have to see.
