All I can say is that I think (but don't quote me) that Mercury is going direct, or at least stationary, after a few weeks of hellacious retrograde. *crosses fingers*

Thanks. Mercury was in retrograde the last few weeks? While I personally don't follow much astrology...it would like WAY explain the last several weeks of my life.

I lived. It turns out that I didn't have to be brilliant...just fast.

My Project Manager went against my advice and had me work on some variable speed drive issues.

The half of the machine I don't understand yet worked just fine.

The half of the machine that was modified (against my advice) screwed up...because of the modification.

A 100 meter sprint and half a meter jump up onto a concrete platform to get to the nearest AUTO OFF switch just kept two fully built engines and their extremely expensive automation cradles from toppling down four feet to the concrete below.

I didn't have to be smart...just quick.

Silly Project Managers. When will they learn? When I say that modifying that piece of equipment now instead of waiting a shift is the best course of action...I REALLY MEAN IT!

That makes two Project Managers in the last six months that overuled my advice and then had the equipment malfunction and get damaged in exactly the way I said it would.

And I swear I was MUCH faster running and vaulting safety fencing ten years

I know I shouldn't laugh... But it's a very funny image! Also, my mother has had similar problems with people in the auto industry not listening to her advice. The effects have been similar, only in relation to fuels and lubricants on a grand scale.
