Thursday began with packing and leaving the Bay Horse Inn.
The first interesting stop was a 'little holy house' that was a thousand years old by the time Henry-what's-the-number started burning churches.
Cat believes she heard mention that it was originally Anglo-Saxon.
The little holy house was cute, but Cat figured it was lonely, so Cat left an offering of little pretties (sea shells) to keep it company.
The second stop was ruined castle.
In Cat's opinion it was a ruin of a ruined castle, but no one asked.
Theign told Cat that the path Cat took to the castle will be part of the mountain bike course for the Olympics.
Cat thinks this is an awesome idea.
The castle would have been more fun if it didn't have the "Do NOT Climb On Wall" signs everywhere.
Now Cat has arrived at the Black Horse Inn, where Cat will stay until it is time to head home. (Cat is wondering at the horse-themes.)
The Black Horse is downright fancy compared to the Bay Horse, but Cat isn't sure if that is a good thing.
But they do have Wi-Fi, even if Cat has to sit on the other side of the parking lot to use it.
And there is a mother duck nesting in the window box.
Cat thinks this is cute, especially when she glares.
Apparently the Black Horse is famous for it's cuisine, and people come from all over just to try it.
Cat is looking forward to dinner tonight.
