England Trip, Day 4 - Hamley's

The Ground floor was mostly stuffed things. Cat liked the blue penguin with large eyes.
And the life-sized camel, and the polar bear.
The 1st floor was games; Monopoly, magic tricks, etc.
2nd floor was Preschool; Cat ran away, Brie bought stuff.
The 3rd floor was Girls. It was pink. Cat paused at the top of the escalator, then turned around and went up again.
4th was Hobbies. Cat actually liked this one. It had collectors' items; Lord of the Rings, Batman, Harry Potter, Superman, Indiana Jones, and Star Wars. Cat was annoyed at all of the model soldiers and cars thought.
And 5th was for little Boys. Cat also had fun there; she almost bought the Dalek voice-changer.
Cat fell over laughing/crying when she heard the personalized CDs playing Red's name.

But the floor where Cat spent the most time was the Basement, which had the Interactive toys.
There were glass jars shaped like un-ziplocked bags, mirage scopes, jedi bathrobes, video games, card-board guitars, mini amps, and a thousand other little odds and ends that interested Cat but weren't really worth the pounds.

After leaving Hamley's, Cat took the scenic route back.
Cat can't decide whether it was good taste or poor choice, but Cat found the ubber-expensive, really-cool clothing stores.
Cat was uncomfortable in Liberty, which was very post and high-class. BUt Cat does admit that their jackets were gorgeous.
All Saints was heaven, Cat was certain she had died. The whole store was in tones of brown, black, and white. Leather was everywhere.
Cat was in love.
Cat despairs at all of the lost steampunk potential.

Cat took lunch at an Asian restaurant named Ping Pong. The waiter warned Cat that all of the items came in small portions, so Cat should order multiple food-stuffs.
Cat ordered: Flowering Dragon Eye tea (Dragon Eye was the flower, not the tea, which was Green), vegetarian puffs, veg. sticky rice, chicken spring rolls, and banana & chocolate spring rolls.
The tea was beautiful, but Cat still says that it tasted like hot, bitter water.
Cat found the veg. puffs sticky, sweet, flakey, and entirely too much 'puff'.
Cat loved the chicken spring rolls with soyai sauce. (Cat may have gotten the sauce wrong, but it was close.) It was sweet and crunchy and chicken-y! Cat loved it.
Unfortunately, even though Cat arrived prior to the 1:00 lunch rush, Cat was forgotten by the waiter and never received her banana and chocolate spring rolls. Which was kinda okay, because Cat was full by that time.
At least PP didn't charge for the drinks because of the long wait.

Brie and Theign loved their selections in both beverage and meal, but Red was unhappy with all of the 'new food' and sulked in the corner with his non-alcoholic ginger ale.

Afterwards, Cat went back to the room to sleep while Brie and Theign went 'crawling'.

Cat also wants it noted that, because there are almost no obese people in London, an XXL here is about the same as a M/L back home. All of the clothes are smaller in general, compared to US sizes.
