Quiiiiick update.
Back in Brighton, shittest week everrrr. Training was balls, actual balls. Just nope, but it's over now and it's done thank the lord.
Brilliant news on Thurs afternoon, pulled into a meeting.
Bad news - Josh (dude in London) is leaving the team.
Good news - I'm taking over his position and I'm gonna be an Account Manager. Hip hip hooray.
Sue said they're advertising internally, and she said it's just a simple matter of me ticking the boxes and it's a done deal. Monetary increase. 2 months and I'm actually getting promoted. I'm overjoyed obviously, but I'm more annoyed at myself for staying at fucking Waitrose for so long. I could have had this a long time ago.
Regardless this is exciting and it makes sense as I was gonna be the onboarding person for HSBC at the company - now I'll be managing their account instead. Plus I've been working close with Joel a lot so I already have a bit of knowledge there. When will this all actually happen, I'm not sure...I'm going to assume within the next month or so. Booooooom.
I know everyone at the company is gonna be like "what she just joined". I've done my best to keep it on the down low, but I went for drinks with Anna and John before we came back from London yesterday, and I ended up telling them. Was too excited, had to spill it out somewhere. I trust em though.
On another note, I've found a deal to go to Egypt in November and I'm just waiting for the green light from Bridie. If she can't do it, I'm thinking of just going with Mum actually.
Got the roller derby girl's number (finally! It took Sarah 3 days to bloody give it to me) - but I received it from Sarah with a side note of "btw, she isn't dating atm" No shit! I'm not interested in dating this girl, I'm interested in sleeping with this girl (to be really blunt.) Anyway we've texted a little, mainly banter back and forth but I'm really not that fussed - she is a fun girl to drink with though, so I've got her for that.
Going out with Sarah and Bridie tonight for a few drinks but nothing heavy, said I'd meet up with the work lot who are out tonight as well, but who knows. Can't go mad as Thorpe Park is tomorrow and I have to be up early for fuck sake. I'm not even looking forward to it that much..
