It had been forty-three minutes and fifteen seconds.
"Kanda..." said Allen, his voice cold this time.
"Stop bothering me and wait your turn," Kanda answered as Allen's hands clenched into two tight fists.
"I've been waiting for over half an hour!" cried Allen. "What are you doing in there anyway?"
Kanda answered after a few seconds, the sound of water falling in thicker sloshes. "It's called washing."
"I didn't mean that!" said Allen, growing more and more annoyed. He sighed and leaned against the wall, watching the ceiling.
Removing his towel and placing it on the nearest rack, Allen shivered - partly from cold, mostly from uncertainty - and threw back the thin curtain before stepping inside the shower stall.
It didn't take long for Kanda to notice him, teeth bared, his elbow digging just below Allen's throat. His eyes were the only place where Allen saw immediate uncertainty.
"What are you doing?" hissed Kanda.
"...You take...too long," Allen coughed. He pried Kanda's elbow further away from his throat, coughing some. Kanda didn't move away, though he relinquished his hold. Allen watched him from the corner of his eye as he lathered shampoo into his hand, moving Kanda further back so he could wet his hair.
It didn't take long to shampoo and rinse. Kanda glared and looked off as they switched places, closing his eyes and leaning back, his neck elongated as warm water slid down, from his temples to his shoulders. The compulsion to look was awkward but after a minute or two, Allen found himself staring.
Kanda was...well, he didn't know the word for it but he was sure it was synonymous with mesmerising. Up close, Kanda was scarier but also quieter, with his eyes closed, standing still and calm.
"Why are you staring at me?" asked Kanda. The look Kanda gave him when he didn't answer made Allen turn away; he knew what that familiar tightness in his stomach led to - that warmth that spread outward, the excitement that made him hard.
"I think I'm done," said Allen with a nervous laugh.
Kanda's arm around his neck threw him for a moment; he stared over his shoulder at Kanda, whose face was much closer, droplets of water spilling down his cheeks.
"...Kanda?"
Allen wasn't sure how it happened or how fast but Kanda's arm moved from his neck to his stomach, where it rested; until Allen, hands surprisingly steady, guided splayed fingers around himself.
Kanda gasped and Allen moaned, the feel of slippery, still-soapy fingers sliding up and around his cock in slow movements; he leaned back when he felt Kanda harden against him, breathing shallowly and pushing - not in but against - as their bodies slid against one another underneath the faint spray of water.
Silence filled the shower stall, broken only by soft hisses, breaths held as both moved faster. Kanda's lips lowered to Allen's shoulder where he bit down, causing Allen to swear as Kanda's release spilled against him, hot and thick and wet. Allen blushed, embarrassed that the pain spread warmly through his body, causing him to come fast, spurting across Kanda's fingers.
It took less than a minute for them to disentangle, standing quietly beside each other as the water continued to fall.
"Rinse off and get out," said Kanda.
"...I'm already done," said Allen, fumbling his way out of the stall.
His towel was wrapped around his waist when the shower curtain opened, the sound of water ceased. "Moyashi."
Allen shivered. "Huh?"
Kanda stalled. "If you tell anyone about this, I'll kill you."
"Why would I want to?" Allen shot back. He turned to leave, letting out a small noise of surprise when he realised Kanda's fingers were gripping at his towel. "What?" he demanded.
Kanda closed the curtain.
"From now on...leave your door unlocked."
Allen ignored the heat in his face, stopping only once before leaving.
"Don't come in after twelve," he said, closing the door behind him and walking away slowly.
