I learned a new word today, "kluge." If I understand correctly, it means a clumsy or inefficient solution to a problem, especially referring to computer or hardware/software issues. I stumbled across it in an article about the human brain. Turns out some scientists think we really ARE wired to "hear only what we want to hear," and that our instincts are generally NOT as reliable as reasoning. Huh. Here's the link:
