There t'was a mighty siege one day,
t'worse tha' thar could be...
Both sides were filled with malicous intent,
And winning was the key.

Inside the keep, settlin' back
t'was Sir John the mighty Lord;
Explaining was he, to a scribe, you see
how life was making him bored.

Then out of nowhere shot an arrow,
Swift and precise the shot
Attached to it was a scroll for John,
all tied up in a knot.

The message said, "Who's concern be it may,
Be it paige, or squire, or liege:
a vicous marauding party are we
and your keep, we intend to siege.

"Oh Ho!" Said, John with a triumphant grin
"My keep do they plan to take?"
"Scribe, hear me now, heed my words quick,
Huge forces, we must soon make!"

In time the forces had assembled
At exactly 3 oclock
Though small in number, t'was very diverse"
A Lord, his scribe, and a pollack.

The lord and pollack took the eastern tower
leaving the scribe alone to the west,
As they awaited their fate through preparation
Not leaving a moment for rest.

'For long they had gathered their weapons,
Bows, swords and the lot.
Allowing a few extra moments
To cool the fresh pitch that was hot

Round the bend charged the warriors,
Expecting nothing of the Lord's plans
They dismounted themselves, chattering away
And approached with weapons in hand

When in the proper place, the Lord's signal did sound
And the invaders were met with a clash
Or stones and arrows all whizzing around
They began to think their decision seemed rash

But soon they met the barrage
with a force all of their own
And they returned fire 2, 3 fold,
holding ranks in the attack zone

The battle itself intensified
as the groups changed their attacks
Pitch was thrown and blood was spilt'
The end the defenders gave the warriors the axe.

All seemed won for the Lord and his crew
As they celebrated their victory.
Little did they know of the warriors' new plan
And how their enjoyment would be contradictory

For the warriors were reforming their game
And planned to sneak into the keep
They'd have gone through undiscovered as well
Be it not for Lord's eyes of sweep...ing

The Lord saw the plan unfold on it's own
And did all he could to stop it
But when he realized that all was lost
He went up to take hold in a closet

And it was there he stayed, hearing the cries of the Polack
Through the wall of the two joined rooms
It was then that he realized he had a decision to make
And hopefully in the warrior's heart forgiveness blooms

So the Lord sacrificed himself for his people
Putting his life before all
The warriors respected his deed
But vowed to see him fall

... The End ... I'd give you more, but the story stopped there for me too. You can imagine a stunning ending where the scribe, using necromancy, resurrects the Polack and saves the Lord and kills the warriors, or one the the scribe escapes while the warriors kill the Lord with vengeance. Have fun.
