starstruck

just got back from stewarding at the charity concert. I actually loved every second of it. It was in pretty westminister, which is so beautiful at night, with all the beautiful lights. Also, there is a street named Petty France...

The concert was actually awesome and i felt really smug that i got to see it for free (well in exchange for volunteering). The cast of Oliver and the cast of Chicago both performed a couple of pieces and i was overheard saying that i thought the artful dodger was fit. I didn't realise he was only about 12...I sat across from HRH Princess Michael of Kent, but she wasn't wearing a tiara, so i quickly lost interest.

After the concert, we went to this champagne reception in the Whitehall Banquet Room, opposite Downing Street. This is going to sound really gay, but Darius is actually quite fit in real life. It was so weird talking to him, because my mum used to fancy him. So, i got his autograph for her! yes, i know that's really sad...

All the guests at the champagne recpetion were uber rich and annoyed the shit out of me. They were all really snobbish and rude. And all the girls our age were wearing the most gorgeous ball gowns and beautiful shoes. What a lifestyle to have. The girls our age were especially stand offish and made me feel really insignificant. one asked me "What's it like to have to sell things for a living". I should have slapped her. All the boys our age were beautiful and all either from eton or st. pauls. I met one girl who actually goes to the school where they're currently filming school of rock. She got really drunk and insulted darius. That was quite amusing. But it was still quite cool mingling with the rich and (D list) famous, and the hall was beautiful and the jazz singer performing was awesome. He sang moon river and i just lost it. i forgot what i was doing and just stopped directly in front of the piano to listen to him. One of the st paul's boys came over to speak to me, but when i turned around, he saw my name tag and said "Sorry, i didn't realise you were the help" and walked away. the rudeness, biatch!
