"Quid Pro Quo Alius Nusquam"
.... or to put it in English "Something for something else nothing". It's how I think. I'm happy to do good deeds for other people effectively giving them "something for nothing" I am embarrassed when they do the same for me :). In most of my "relationships" I tend to apply the title of this post though.
So on Friday I got my car assessed for hail damage, though I'm waiting to hear the actual damage quote. That poor insurance company, currently I'm getting a lot more out of the insurance policy than I've put in. From the point of view stated above, I'm likely to maintain insurance through them for some time even though from the view of "Insurance is a bet that the company makes that nothing bad will happen to the item insured" means that they lost the bet.
I've also found a shop that does Laptop Repairs so I can get my HP Laptop repaired. It's almost amusing since it means that I'll have 3 working laptops :) admittedly one of them an EEE PC.
I went out to Sin last night, but didn't like the music much although the company was acceptable. I did a good deed for someone practically a stranger, but who circulates in close social groups. Then when I woke this morning I had an 8 egg Tomato, Onion and Garlic French-style Omelette, one of my favourite dishes ;).
The last episode of season 3 "Castle" made me sad because I empathise.
