prospects are looking worse and worse. have to wait and see. some more.
It's summer in DC, but seems to me surprisingly fine. The humidity isn't totally stifling (to me) yet, but other people talk about how they have their AC on 24/7 already. ??? The maintenance guy that came into our condo said it felt humid, that we needed a dehumidifier... but it could be so much worse! Somehow for June we had a lower electricity bill than May, despite running the AC for a bit for several days or so. Last night we had the windows open and woke up frozen with just a sheet. summer isn't so bad, even on the top floor.

we painted the dining room this weekend.. bright mandarin orange! I have a craving for mac and cheese when I see it right now - we are hoping that adding back furniture will help with this bright! room! I'd rather not repaint it, ever!
