waiting for spargel and other food

For whatever reason, I am getting anxious for asparagus season. I don't even like asparagus that much - it's sort of like lima beans, in that I eat them without complaint occasionally, but they are far from a staple of my diet. What with the asparagus need?!  I did have some tasty asparagus quesadillas in FL, but really, cover anything in goatyish cheese and I will love it. Hm. Another month, it seems.

During the day I dream of eating all sorts of wonderful food and trying new recipes. Why is it that once I get home, all I can manage is plain spaghetti with butter and parmesan? Or leftovers from the weekend? I really hope that the new kitchen will inspire me to eat real food.  At least I eat a fair number of veggies and fruits throughout the day.

Right now I am thinking of pork loin, which was on sale at the grocery store.  My husband wouldn't let me get one. I know - we can't even *fit* a whole pork loin in the fridge, but I am sad.
