Malaysia Boleh!
Sheikh Muszaphar Shukor is a good choice to be the first Malaysian in space, the guy is undoubtably sporty, smart (and very good looking too). But I do find it funny the media have to mention him as the first "Muslim" Malaysian to be in space. When watching his interview on BBC last night, the guy was bombarded by local reporters on questions like "how many times will he pray in space" and "will he know which direction Mecca is". I think sometimes priorities are not set correctly in Malaysia. The main thing is to assure him to get back to Earth safely and his health is in good condition. But being a Malaysian, one must have a sense of humor, so I do find the questions funny.
I sure hope next time when they decided to put an Ah Beng in space, they will strongly mentioned that he is an Ah Beng. And Ah Beng should also be ask questions like "will the space helmet crush his "circa 2002 Beckham" hairstyle? or "Will the spaceship be big enough for Ah Beng to install music speakers and if he'll be able to bring his "Modern Talking" CD collection" to space?
