A few weeks ago, I went to see The Departed and thought it was absolutely brilliant to the most brilliant degree. The pacing, the actors, the accents, the characterisations, all of it, just absolutely amazing and breathtakingly violent.
I also fell in love with the soundtrack but was unable to afford it at the time.
Also - I normally piss and moan about work as I don't think they do enough to recognise employees here. This week is National Shelter Appreciation Week and, to celebrate, my job held a lunch where all the directors/managers served the regular joes lunch. It was a lot of fun.
More than the free food, they had a dj and games and raffles. I didn't win any of the games or raffles but........ I did get honoured for being one of three employees (out of 100 employees) that had perfect attendance for a year.
My prize was/is a giftcard to Best Buy. Translate.... I CAN AFFORD THE SOUNDTRACK. Except... after looking at the soundtrack, I'm thinking I should just get the Dropkick Murphy's cd as they were my favourite parts of the music.
So, after work - I shall be getting at least one cd, maybe even more depending on how far I can stretch my giftcard!
I was asked for an update on the working out, as well. I took 3 weeks off due to RL getting shitty. I'm now up to 10 lbs lost in 3 months. BUT, I didn't gain anything back during those three weeks so that should count for something *grins*. You all won't recognise me at Prophecy!
